Studio Rooms Designed for Bands and Vocalists.
Our studio complex offers three purpose-built recording spaces designed to bring out the best in every performance.
At the heart of Mount Street Studios is our spacious 30sqm live room, engineered with a specialist floating floor and carefully tuned acoustics. It’s ideal for full-band sessions, ensemble recordings, and larger-scale productions. With clear lines of sight, superb isolation, and premium treatment, this room captures the energy and detail of live performances with exceptional accuracy.
Complementing the live room are two dedicated vocal booths, each designed to provide pristine isolation and crystal-clear vocal recordings. Whether tracking lead vocals, harmonies, or voiceovers, these booths ensure every nuance is captured with clarity and warmth.
Recognised as one of the most acoustically refined setups in Nottingham, our recording spaces offer the perfect balance of comfort, flexibility, and professional sound quality.
Our Recording Gear: From Vintage to Cutting-Edge.
At Mount Street Studios, we believe that great recordings start with great tools. Our equipment collection blends the best of modern digital innovation with the warmth and character of vintage analogue gear — each piece chosen for its sonic quality, reliability, and unique story. Used by artists from across Nottingham, Derby, and Leicester, our equipment selection balances modern power with vintage soul.
From classic microphones to rare instruments, our setup is tailored to support artists across every genre. We proudly feature an extensive microphone selection, trusted by industry professionals for their clarity, warmth, and versatility. At the heart of our drum recording setup is a custom Liberty Drums kit, built and voiced specifically for our live room, delivering punchy, detailed recordings every time.
Adding a timeless touch, our 1891 Steinway & Sons upright piano brings a beautifully rich tone that’s perfect for singer-songwriters and cinematic textures alike.
Whether you're after the precision of modern converters or the colour of vintage preamps, our studio is equipped to help you capture your sound exactly as you imagine it — or better.
