Space is key.
Our studios feature three beautiful recording rooms to choose from.
Our 30sqm live room has been meticulously designed with a specialist floating floor and optimised acoustics. This spacious area allows for versatile recording setups, accommodating bands, ensembles, and larger-scale productions. With clean lines of sight and superior acoustic treatment, the live room provides an ideal environment for capturing the essence and energy of live performances.
In addition to the live room, we offer two isolated vocal booths for pristine vocal recordings. This dedicated space ensures optimal isolation, allowing for precise vocal tracking and capturing every nuance and detail of the performance. These spaces are renowned as Nottingham's most effective and well-suited professional environments, allowing us to achieve the desired sound with remarkable clarity and fidelity.
Equipment.
When it comes to equipment, Mount Street Studios takes pride in curating a diverse collection of carefully selected cutting-edge digital and analogue gear. Each piece has its own history and narrative, adding a unique character to our studio. We strive to strike a balance between the best of modern technology and the timeless allure of vintage equipment, ensuring that we offer musicians the finest tools available today.
Our extensive collection includes industry-standard microphones, renowned for their exceptional quality and versatility. We also house a premium 'Liberty Drums' kit, which has been personalised specifically for our studio, allowing for unmatched drum recording experiences. Adding to the richness of our sound palette, we have an 1891 'Steinway & Sons' upright piano, renowned for its beautiful tone and craftsmanship.
We understand that the right equipment can make a significant difference in achieving the desired sound and capturing the essence of your music. That's why we have meticulously selected our gear, offering clients the best of both worlds: cutting-edge technology and vintage charm.
